Dear Fellow Sports Club Member,For years we have been involved with the running of two sports clubs and been an active members of quite a few more. In all that time there has always been two common problems, lack of information and lack of money. Before the internet came along it was even worse we would spend hundreds of pounds just letting our members and fans know about upcoming events, results and news, using paper newsletter, notice boards and trying to raise funds just to keep the whole thing going. We thought everything would change once we had a website and we could email our members and whilst it did help us communicate with our members, but getting everyone's email address, managing a complicated CMS website gets a little bit problematic. The whole thing just became a headache. Until On January 9, 2007 in a keynote address at the Macworld Conference & Expo held in Moscone West in San Francisco. The original iPhone was introduced by Steve Jobs. The way we communicate and interact with the world around us was about to change forever. In his address, Jobs said, Jobs introduced the iPhone as a combination of three devices: a "widescreen iPod with touch controls"; a "revolutionary mobile phone"; and a "breakthrough Internet communicator" In 2008 the very first Iphone was released to the UK and with it began the way we would communicate forever. The new world of interactive Mobile Apps was born. To get your head round just how cutting edge this is and where we're at right now ‚Äì it's the equivalent of having a website in 1999. And just like way back then, if you did want a website you would be staring at a bill of thousands just to get the thing built. The same is true of mobile apps If you want to build your very own app you can expect to pay way in excess of £10,000 and if you've downloaded some of the apps that are on offer I think you'll agree - most of them aren't that good.
